Members of NGADE visited Legislative Hall to meet with representatives and discuss ongoing and new initiatives.

Representative Earl Jaques received the Charles Dick Medal of Merit from the National Guard Association of the U.S. The award recognizes elected representatives at the state and national level for their contributions to the National Guard. The medal is named after MG Charles Dick who is responsible for the passage of the acts that established the foundation of the modern National Guard. The National Guard Association of Delaware is the professional organization for officers in the Delaware National Guard. We are the state chapter of the National Guard Association of the United States. Our mission is to serve the interests of our members and help ensure the national security of the United States. We are your voice for getting the best training, equipment, and benefits for Delaware Guardsmen and their families.

BG (Ret) Dave Fleming was awarded the NGAUS Distinguished Service Medal for his support of the Association. He established the Fleming Family Matching Fund, helping nearly 40 Soldiers and Airmen become Lifetime Members of NGAUS.

Mr. Steve Masterson received the Patrick Henry Award from the National Guard Association of the U.S. This is the equivalent of the NGAUS Distinguished Service Medal. The award recognizes local officials and civic leaders who distinguished themselves with outstanding and exceptional service to the Armed Forces, National Guard, or NGAUS.
